Absolutely not worth even a free trial
- - CityTV trial promised cancellation anytime.
- - You cancel via a signup page; links failed.
- - There is no direct contact; support claimed cancellation.
When I signed up for a cityTV free trial it stated that i can cancel any time. I downloaded the app, took a look around and there were no shows i am interested in.
So i deleted the app the next day, not without checking how i can end my free trial. It said i had to go where i originally subscribed, which was my mobile browser. I followed the link from my subscription email, and it said email not recognized. I then found a cached version of my browser window, logged in- twice.
I see nothing under my account or subscrition status. BLANK. Their own help article leads to a 404 page under 'how to cancel". Then you read the fine print and the only way to cancel is to CONTACT them.
There is no email or phone number posted. so HOW? this is bordering on illegal. No other app or subsription makes it THIS HARD to cancel a trial.
If this is not a money grab aimed at less technologically savvy so will simply give up and take it up with their credit card issuer instead, i don't know what it is. Their 'bot' system says it's offline or out of business hours on the weekends, so even if you wanted immediate resolution there is none. I ended up filing a support request through the web browser, which ironically tried to auto correct 'cancel' to 'congealed' I kid you not. These people are as crooked as they come.
Anyways, i received an email back from a 'zendesk' person that my trial is now cancelled. We will see if my credit card is in fact safe from these crooks. it remains to be seen.
Thanks for coming out unscatched, but I've lost hours dealing with them, for zero actual enjoyable content. Based on my experience i cannot recommend watching or subscribing to this content to anyone.

City tv doesn't have a reliable customer service number and it's not fair to the consumer. I wish I lived in Canada where I could go to the company in person.

Double billed

I put in my CC for billing after my free trial and was double charged. It was impossible to get someone to talk to. I sent an email and got no response, and when I tried to call, it was only automated.

Ok, the city of Windsor chooses who to send their work orders to and who not to. I have an issue for their Crawford backyard. I can't access my parking lot through their lane because of the shrubs, which are now becoming trees in the alleyway that belongs to them. I have a company a couple of doors away from me; they haven't cleaned in years, and the city sends work orders to their neighbors but is not sending them to that company. That has made the alleyway almost closed and has scratched my car each time I go through, and I do not have parking upfront. My parking is at the back.

Taking Hudson and Rex in a "new direction" is a very poor decision. Giving the new lead the last name Hudson simply doesn't work. .
